GOING PUBLIC Kista and Kista new urban park with theme park Kista is part of the so-called Järvalyftet - which is the name of the City of Stockholm's broad and long-term focus on the districts around Järvafältet; Akalla Hjulsta, Husby, Kista, Rinkeby and Tensta.
The course was based on how you want to develop Kista district, an initiative of the city that takes place in collaboration between the different actors, collaboration between the city, industry and academia.
It is about creating a vibrant urban environment where, among other things, a new urban park to include. The park will be blasted out of a newly built residential complex with 600 apartments. What is a future park and how does it look?
Nanotechnology is the engineering of functional systems at the molecular scale. This covers both current work and concepts that are more advanced. In its original sense, nanotechnology refers to the projected ability to construct items from the bottom up, using techniques and tools being developed today to make complete, high performance products.
For me, nanotechnology is also a way to visualize a pattern that one could not see. A tool, to read a message with. Nature uses tools to allocate resource and information in an effective and timely manner, using this patterns my show us what’s going on under the surface.
Can I create a communications- part by the fractal pattern seen through nanotechnology?
If I were to give the park an instrument would it communicate with its inhabitants, through is unique pattern.
I would argue that it could! Fractal noise (pink noise) already exists in nature with different variations and is dependent on its structure in order to obtain an individual structure. Therefore, I believe that the park could have its own language.
I use some selected points in the park to mark the conditions that create a pattern. All points relate to each other, are fractal and are presented in a golden pattern.
